Getting the guide onto your screen
Six devices, six guides, each written the way we would talk you through it on the phone. The awkward parts are called out rather than skipped, and every guide ends with the step almost everybody misses: cutting the channel list down to something you can navigate.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
The device most of our customers watch on. Budget for ten minutes: five to install, and five while the guide downloads seven days of listings for the first time.
Android Phone, Tablet, TV Box and Google TV
The most flexible platform we support, and the one where the guide behaves best. The same file installs on a phone, a tablet, a cheap TV box and a Google TV set.
Samsung Tizen and LG webOS Television
No sideloading and no extra hardware. Both platforms carry suitable players in their own stores, though the television will be slower at building the guide than anything else you own.
MAG and Formuler Set-Top Box
The least fiddly setup we offer, because the box identifies itself by hardware address and there is no username or password to mistype on a remote.
Windows PC and Laptop
Worth setting up even if you never watch on it. A PC is the fastest way to prove whether a problem is your subscription or the device in the living room.
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Apple does not permit sideloading, so you use a player from the App Store and feed it the same login lines. The result is the best-looking guide on any platform we support.
If it runs a player, it will run this
Anything that accepts Xtream Codes credentials or an M3U playlist works, which covers nearly everything with a screen and a network connection. Tell us what you have and we will send the exact steps for it rather than a link to a generic guide.
Ask support- Nvidia Shield and most Google TV devices use the Android guide unchanged
- macOS works through the same players as Windows, or through VLC with an M3U link
- Enigma2 receivers accept the M3U playlist directly if you already run one
- Older televisions are better served by a cheap Android box in a spare HDMI port
